  • Friends of Memorial Scholar Program

    The Friends Scholar Program offers grants of $2500 or $5000 to qualified candidates for the purpose of furthering their education in health-related careers of critical need to Memorial Health System. Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements cited in the Friends Scholar Program Summary and must agree to a work commitment through the Human Resource Department in exchange for the grant.
    To be considered for this opportunity, please complete this form along with the Education Grant application and submit to Workforce Development in the Organization Development by June 1,2016.

  • Memorial Medical Center Foundation Scholarship for Bedside Nursing

    The Bedside Nursing Scholarship Fund will be awarding a grant of $4,000 to a Memorial Medical Center employee who is pursuing an Associate Degree in Nursing at Lincoln Land Community College. Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements cited in the Scholarship for Bedside Nursing Summary and must agree to a work commitment through the People Division in exchange for the grant.
    To be considered for this opportunity, please complete this form along with the Internal Education Grant application and submit to the Workforce Development team in the Organization Development Division by June 1, 2016.

  • Educational Grants

    Provides assistance for employees and external candidates to pursue education in exchange for a work commitment once the education is completed. Educational Grants are available to those pursuing health care careers that are deemed critical to the organization’s present or projected staffing needs. Grant applications for all careers will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis with a final determination made by the Chief Learning Officer.

In order to learn more about Education Grant opportunities, please contact Workforce Development via email at WorkforceDevelopment@mhsil.com. You will then be contacted by a member of our team to schedule an academic advising session to allow us to learn more about your career interests. After meeting with you, your advisor will provide you with application materials and discuss next steps in your education planning.
