The primary objective of a Behavioral Health Consultant is to provide quality integrated care to the patient through use of the evidence based model. Behavioral Health Consultants play a key role in creating a great patient experience with each interaction that they have with providers and patients.
A master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or closely related field is required in this position due to the type of services that the Behavioral Health Consultant will be providing. In addition a LCSW is required. The Behavioral Health Consultant must have experience using the behavioral based model with patients. At times the clinic setting can be very busy, during these times the BHC will need to remain flexible, calm and organized. The consultant need to exhibit strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize with a high level of professionalism.
A Behavioral Health Consultant is responsible for meeting with patients for one hour appointments for initial assessments and follow-up appointments for 30 minutes. Behavioral Health Consultants have the opportunity to help a variety of patients, in a supportive team setting. Hours: 3 days a week with the potential of full time
