Memorial supplements a major portion for medical coverage through two health plan choices: a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and a Consumer-Driven Health Plan (CDHP). Both medical plans provide the same high level of benefits, including full preventive care coverage, along with easy access to the care you and your dependents need. Cost-sharing amounts like deductibles, copays, out-of-pocket maximums and employee premiums vary depending on the plan and number of dependents covered. Employees who work 32 hours per 2 week pay period are eligible for individual and family coverage. Coverage begins on the 1st of the month following start date. Every new employee meets one-on-one with a benefits expert to choose the options that are best for your life.
Healthy teeth are a part of overall wellness. Two low-cost, high-quality dental plan options are available to you and your dependents, one with orthodontic coverage. Our vision plan offers the opportunity to purchase coverage for you and your family at a low biweekly rate. Coverage includes yearly exams and contact lenses and/or lenses and frames.
Memorial employees can set up two types of FSAs—a healthcare FSA and dependent care FSA. The healthcare FSA allows you to set aside tax-free dollars each year to pay for certain eligible medical, prescription drugs, dental, or vision expenses. The dependent care FSA allows you to contribute pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible dependent daycare expenses. FSAs are available to all benefit-eligible employees.

Every Memorial employee has access to the Employee Assistance Program through Memorial Employee Assistance Services to resolve a wide range of personal problems. Resources include marital and family counseling, crisis interventions, alcohol/drug counseling, eldercare support, financial counseling, identify theft support and legal issues. All interactions are kept confidential and are free to employees and their dependents.
Health for Life is designed to give employees resources and tools to help with disease prevention, reducing health risks and continuing their health and well-being journey. Health for Life includes the opportunity to participate in a confidential online health assessment, optional wellness coaching and a free tobacco cessation program, as well as access to online resources that support your desire to lead a healthy, happy life. Additionally, Memorial’s Employee Health and Wellness department provides annual flu vaccines for no charge to all health system employees and year-round health counseling.
